When shopping at bananaq,

You can share your surplus food at home to those who need it through a food bank.

Food will be collected free of charge. If you donate, you will get a discount voucher that can be used at bananaq.

In addition, the surplus food brought by employees of partner companies will be donated to support groups.

About collecting and donating surplus food from households
After August 2021, we will conduct demonstration experiments with food banks and partner companies in some areas, mainly in Hamamatsu City, Shizuoka Prefecture. We will expand to areas after Spring 2022.
bananaq shopping site will provide services in all regions from July 2021.

Immersion to different cultures over the years served as an eye-opener to the striking contrast of food abundance and scarcity among different societies within Japan and the rest of the world. This triggered a desire to minimize food waste and get as much food as possible in the table of people and communities in need.
